Project Description:
Create a pilot version of a magazine according to a specific magazine media kit. Practice strong layout design and production design techniques.
Design Description:
The final design featured hand-lettered type, bold pastels, and bright photos. Daze is a magazine designed to inspire entrepreneurial women in business, highlighting women leading in various industries and discussing important topics. The tag line of Daze is “for all the boss babes,” which alludes to the theme of the magazine, women entrepreneurship. The magazine strives to give a voice for women who are absolutely killing it and encourages women to support other women.

Daze was inspired by Jaclyn Johnson, the founder of Create & Cultivate and author of Work Party. One of my favorite parts of this project was getting to connect with women I admire. Special thanks to Jaclyn and Julia Engel (founder of Gal Meets Glam, featured on the cover and feature spread) for providing me with amazing images to use for Daze.
